When are classes held?
Classroom instruction is offered weekly at all of our Cuyahoga County locations (Cleveland, Parma, North Olmsted, Strongsville, Lakewood, Garfield Heights, Middleburg Heights) and Lorain County locations (Avon Lake, North Ridgeville, Lorain, Amherst, Oberlin). Classroom schedules are posted online up to one month in advance.
Students are not required to complete classroom lessons consecutively. Teens may make up any missed classroom lesson by attending the same lesson on another day. Our online schedule shows which lesson is taught each day.
For example, if a student misses Lesson 2, they can simply check the classroom schedule to see when Lesson 2 is offered again and make it up. Students may start at any point in the cycle; however, the final class must be taken at the end.
How do I schedule behind-the-wheel lessons?
You may schedule in-car training after tuition is paid in full, the classroom portion is completed, the final test has been passed, and the student has completed at least 10 hours of supervised driving. Behind-the-wheel consists of four 2-hour sessions. The only time there is more than one student in the vehicle is during drop off and pick up of students.
Do you pick up the student at home?
Pickup is available if the student lives in the same city as the instructor’s assigned service area. In addition, arrangements to be picked up at work or school can be made by contacting the instructor directly. Otherwise, the student may need to meet at the classroom address of the location they chose. Students must present their valid temporary permit, correct eyewear, closed-toe shoes, and their BTW sheet to every session.
When can my teen take the driving exam?
Students must complete the entire program before scheduling the driving test. Please wait for confirmation that the Final Certificate has been uploaded to the student’s account before making an appointment.
How long does it take to receive the Final Certificate?
Certificates are uploaded within 7–14 business days after the student completes the full program (24 hours of classroom and 8 hours of behind the wheel).
How do I upload my teen’s documents?
Scan the document using a printer or scanner and save it to your device. Log into the student account and upload it under the “Upload Files” section.
Do you offer the 24-hour online classroom course?
We do not offer the online 24-hour course. We only provide a link to an external option, and we are not affiliated with that program. To view the link, please go to our home page, click on "classes, online teen program, part one, sign up."
What if I need to cancel a Behind the Wheel lesson?
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance by calling (216) 941-6888, or a $30 fee is assessed.
How far in advance should I schedule Behind the Wheel Training?
Slots are filling quickly, so we recommend scheduling your In-Car Training as soon as possible.
